Ball Grower Trials
Ball Australia is part of the Ball horticultural company, now in its fourth generation of family ownership with the head office based in Chicago. After 15 years of growth in the Australian market, Ball Australia decided to buy its own property and build a purpose-designed modern horticultural facility at Skye. A motherstock house was added to increase the company’s growing capacity, giving the business a world-standard, unique glasshouse in Australia.
Ball Australia is known for its national distribution of quality seed and vegetative lines for flowers, vegetables, herbs, cut flowers, and tissue culture.
Each year in December Ball host their Ball Grower Trials to wholesale customers. They showcase exciting new breeder introductions and marketing programs to keep their product mix exciting and desirable for home gardeners.

Celosia ‘Burning Embers’
The bold and exciting NEW celosia ‘Burning Embers’ has been bred to produce more flowers over a longer bloom time.
Gorgeous bronze foliage with dark pink veins and vibrant pink flower plumes that manage well in both heat and humidity.
Consumers will enjoy displays of this new variety in pots, mixed containers and landscapes.
Fuschia ‘Bella’ series
10 colours in the range!
The NEW series of Bella Fuchsias have good vigorous disease resistance are covered in an abundance of flowers that bloom on average two weeks earlier than traditional fuchsia varieties.
Excellent presentation at retail, consumers will enjoy them in flowerbeds, pots, mixed containers, hanging baskets.
Begonia ‘Hula’ White
The pure-white seeded Begonia Hula is a fresh new colour addition to the four other colours in the Hula series.
Begonia Hula starts to spread at an early stage, and along with early flowering, provides growers with a high-quality, attractive and saleable plant that is covered with large blooms at retail.
Consumers will love this variety in hanging baskets and smaller containers.
