New Norwood – APCO and Compliance
Norwood is here to walk you through the upcoming regulatory and compliance changes that all on-market suppliers need to be aware of.
We have worked on solutions that align closely with the goals set by the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation's (APCO) 2030 Strategic Plan. The plan released in August 2024, pushes for significant reforms in the packaging industry to meet national sustainability targets. A key part of this strategy is APCO’s new eco-modulated fee structure, starting in 2027. Under this system, companies will be charged based on the recyclability and environmental impact of their packaging. This incentivizes businesses to reduce their packaging waste adopt sustainable materials as well as report to APCO on the packaging that is sent on the market.
Norwood, already focused on recycling initiatives, particularly with polypropylene waste, is well-positioned to meet these requirements and support you in meeting your compliance needs. There is no need to worry about anything we will take care of anything compliance for you!
